Archaeological Museum of Taormina
In the premises of the Palazzo della Badia Vecchia.
Some materials from the recent excavations of Taormina, carried out between 1984 and 1998 by the Superintendence of Messina, are exhibited.
The three rooms exhibit finds from the Hellenistic period, that is, dating back to the XNUMXth century BC, as well as ceramics and rare glass containers from the Roman period.
There is no shortage of fragments of proto-majolica vases from the thirteenth century and Renaissance majolica.
