Monument to the Fallen of the Masotto Battery

Liberty Avenue
Made in 1897 by the sculptor Salvatore Buemi. Remember the Masotto battery, which fell in Adua in the Eritrean countryside. It consists of a bronze group of three soldiers on a quadrangular base containing bronze plaques with the names of the officers and soldiers who died in the battle. At the base of the monument were placed the cannons of the Batteries recovered by the Italian soldiers in Addis Ababa
