Monument to Vittorio Emanuele

The monument, inaugurated in 1866, consists of a large marble base and the equestrian statue of Vittorio Emanuele II. the bronze statue was made by the sculptor Benedetto Civiletti, the base in Carrara marble is the work of Salvatore Valenti. The two bas-reliefs located on the long sides of the pedestal were made by Stefano De Lisi and by Benedetto Civiletti himself.
