Description:
It is a limestone relief in which small relics of ancient forest formations are found. The area has also been subjected to a drastic reforestation work with the prevalent use of Pinus halepensis. The soils are part of the outcrop rock and brown soils-calcareous brown soils-Litosuoli association. Lower thermomediterranean thermotype. Inferior subhumid umbrotype.
Vast retrodunal depression still partially cultivated with saline today. Almost the entire area is flooded for most of the year and a portion completely dries up in the summer. The substrate is impermeable due to the high concentration of silt and clay. Climate: Thermotype: lower Mediterranean term;
