Myth of the Nymph Ionia

The Nymph Ionia took care of some pigeons that every winter took refuge in the cave of the doves. Unfortunately, other envious nymphs obstructed the entrance, causing the pigeons to die and arousing the desperation of Ionia who with a cry made the cave collapse and remain buried with her friends.
