Together with the former Chimica Arenella they are the two main examples of industrial archeology present in Palermo. The structure was built to house the Ducrot workshops and the Ducrot Studio and includes 23 warehouses. The historical and economic importance of this area is great, where between the end of the nineteenth century and the first half of the twentieth century works in liberty style wood and metal were created, designed by the Palermo architect Ernesto Basile.
