The Fonte Lanaria (S. Agata)

La Fonte Lanaria or S. Agata Along the path of the walls, to be exact inserted in the section under the archbishopric. The first name derives from the fact that the fountain was located along via Lanaria (today dedicated to Cardinal Dusmet) which took its name from the governor Francesco Lanario, Duke of Carpignano. The dedication to St. Agatha is linked, however, to the tradition according to which this fountain marks the point from where the relics of the patron saint left when they were brought to Byzantium by order of General Giorgio Maniace
