The feast of "Miraglia and San Giorgio"

A restored period film showing the simulacrum of the Madonna della Medaglia and the simulacrum of San Giorgio. There is no documentation on this episode, but the simulacrum of the Madonna della Medaglia was probably brought to Ibla on the occasion of the feast of San Giorgio. Note the notable participation of the faithful and, in the end, of the moments of a theatrical performance in the square. The movie dates back to the 50s. An accurate restoration and digitization work has allowed the recovery of the film which, being on film and in vhs copy, was inexorably towards destruction.
