Description:
The Stagnone islands take their name from the lagoon called “Stagnone” between the four islands of San Pantaleo (Mozia), Isola Grande, La Scuola and Santa Maria, in the province of Trapani.
- The Big Island o Long Island, the largest of the Stagnone.
- The School (Schola), the smallest of the Stagnone islands.
- Santa Maria.
- San Pantaleo (Mozia) it is the most important of the islands of the Stagnone from an archaeological point of view (Ancient Phoenician colony).
They are included in the Stagnone Islands Regional Nature Reserve of Marsala.
