Late Roman settlement of Case Italia - Piano Fata
Traces of a late Roman settlement consisting of scattered cocciame, including many fragments of late amphorae, a lot of pans and a few fragments of Sealed D; also many fragments of crude kitchen pottery; lava stone millstone; many white limestone stones reused in Italian houses and dry stone walls, squared with simple architectural moldings; a white stone sarcophagus, reused as a drinking trough in the courtyard of the house; a semicircular apse, in the field to the west of the house where the cocciame is more abundant, seen and photographed by Bernabò Brea but
which today is buried by vegetation
