Settlement of Contrada Mosè
The site concerns an area located a few kilometers east of ancient Akragas, along the ancient road to Gela. In particular, the archaeological remains concern the top part of the hill called Cozzo Mosè, in which the remains of the necropolis of the classical Greek age and of a settlement of the Hellenistic-Roman period were found. The necropolis has returned monumental burials built with large sandstone ashlars, rich in valuable items including a splendid bronze cinerary exhibited at the Regional Museum of Agrigento.
