Door Carini

Via Volturno. The door is built in limestone, the style is typically neoclassical. Outside there are four false columns with a square base with relative Doric capitals. The date of first construction is unknown, the first certain date is 1310 when it was rebuilt. In the first half of the 1782th century the property passed to a monastery and the nuns used it as a place for recreation. Finally in XNUMX the gate was destroyed to be rebuilt again.

To protect the gate, a series of properties have been set up located between via Volturno (80,82,84,96) and Via Porta Carini n. 70 Property bound pursuant to Legislative Decree. 42/2004 (DDS n. 7205 of 28.07.08)
