The metamorphoses (Metamorphoseon books XV) is an epic-mythological poem by Publius Ovid Nasone (43 BC - 17 AD) centered on the phenomenon of metamorphosis. Through this work, completed shortly before the exile of 8 AD, Ovid has made famous and transmitted to posterity many stories and mythological tales of Greek and Roman classicism.
