Well included in the IWB register of the Sicily Region (The Places of the literary, cinematographic, television story) - Sector “The Places of the literary tale by Luigi Pirandello

The story is set in Milocca, a small Sicilian fantasy village, already present in a previous Pirandello novel, The surprises of science.

The inhabitants of Milocca decide to refuse the therapies and treatments of Calaiò, the town doctor, to follow the advice of a charlatan called Piccaglione. One day the doctor discovers that his wife has also entrusted herself to the healer. The latter diagnoses the couple's two children with scarlet fever, which is precisely the disease they suffer from: Calaiò would know how to treat them, but he doesn't have time to administer the drug to them. Piccaglione abandons Milocca, while Calaiò, maddened after the very serious mourning, makes him the method of the healer. (Text source: web)
