What the series is about?

Palermo the extravagant singer Toni Giulietto meets the Nigerian prostitute Romea Wacoubo. It is love at first sight, thwarted by Toni's kinship and friends. After the very original debut with Tano to die for in 1997 Roberta Torre was eagerly awaited for her second test. Sympathy quickly turned to disappointment. The reasons are manifold. On the one hand, the intervention of Ciprì and Maresco is making itself felt more and more, however, grafting onto expressive methods that are not theirs. On the other hand, the Tower itself seems poised between the decision to re-propose the aesthetics of Tano (bright colors, songs, surreal-grotesque scenography) and the desire to look elsewhere. The result is an opera with noble intentions, but absolutely weak in construction.
