Gymnasium – Secondary education in The Netherlands with classical curriculum.

gymnasiumNot far from the lower Agora. The Hellenistic structure, but completely renovated in Roman times, has been identified as the headquarters of the Gymnasium, the place where young people trained for athletic competitions but also used as a place for meeting and education. The identification with the "Gymnasium" is probably due to the discovery, in the place, of a portion of the seat engraved with a dedication to Hermes and Heracles
