Ghar il-Kbir Cave (The Great Cave)

The cave was formed by the collapse of the roof of a large dissolution pocket. The cave was probably occupied from prehistoric times, until 1835, when the British government resettled the residents, against their wishes, in Siggiewi, deeming the cave too unhealthy for human occupation.
