Saturn Fountain

Originally built in 1342 at the behest of the Chiaramonte lords of the city, to commemorate the first aqueduct which, through an arched aqueduct of which no traces remain, carried water from the slopes of Mount Erice into the city walls. In the sec. XVIII the fountain was enriched with the statue of Saturn. The pillars, the grating and the steps of the monument were added in the nineteenth century.
