Description

Fountain of S. Antonino - Palermo

Alberigo Gentili Square. Built in 1635 by the architects Mariano Smiriglio and Vincenzo La Barbera. It was moved to its present site in 1873, before it was located in a square near the Church of S. Antonino outside Porta di Vicari. The fountain, of a typically Baroque style, is composed at the base of a large quadrilobate shaped basin, above it there are three smaller basins surrounded by cherubs and sirens.
