The Fountain of Carabbiddicchia, restored in 1937, is still located in the “Quartasu” district following the SS. 119; it is long and low (evidently it was used to make the sheep drink). In this regard it is said that once a farmer found a crying girl on his farm; to console her he repeatedly asked her: “Cara, biddicchia” (bellina), why are you crying? The little girl explained crying that she was lost and was very thirsty for the heat that was there. The farmer, then, made her quench her thirst in a small spring of fresh water, which flowed spontaneously from the rock. Since so many people, rushed to the cry of the little girl (then many peasant families lived in the countryside), had listened to the words of the farmer, "Carabbiddicchia" became the name of the spring, of the drinking trough, which was later built there, and to everything the surrounding area.
