Mouth of the Naro River
The site is located 5 kilometers east of Agrigento and occupies a vast elevated river terrace approximately 2 meters above sea level, between the left bank of the river and the coastline. It was the seat of a sacred area of the Archaic Greek age and, abandoned until the Byzantine age, the site became a poor burial ground with tombs inside amphora or on the sand.
