Brief description of the product: Dry and crunchy dessert with a characteristic crown shape. Description of the processing and maturing methods: The dessert is made exclusively by hand with the help of tools made with natural materials belonging to past generations.

Description of processing ingredients: Dough of durum wheat flour, sugar, eggs, lard.

All flavored with cinnamon, orange peel and red wine. The dessert is fried in abundant extra virgin olive oil or alternatively in seed oil.

Elements proving that the methodologies have been practiced in a homogeneous way and according to traditional rules for a period of not less than 25 years: It is thought that the dessert dates back to medieval times, when the women of the village revered the castellane inhabitants in the castle of Delia with this dessert. In addition, the oldest of the town remember that their grandmother and later also their mother, prepared this dessert during the carnival period. Today it is present every day. This dessert has also recently been a Slow Food Presidium product.
