Cozzo Argione/Mount Quagliari

Cozzo Argione/Mount Quagliari

The site involves a rocky elevation to the southeast of the modern town and the necropolis of San Paolo. Schubring considered the site acropolis of the Greek Triocala and recalls that many silver and copper coins were found in the place bearing the effigy of the helmeted head of the Roman republic and that of the quadriga on the other. The summit of the mountain is affected by surface ceramics with medium and low concentration density and by the remains of masonry structures.
