Contrada Acqua la Fico
UT 2 - Contrada Acqua la Fico: rural settlement from the Archaic, Hellenistic, Imperial and Late Antiquity periods.
“The UT can be interpreted, given the type of clay material, as a farm, active with continuity of life from the early imperial age to the Byzantine one. Despite the sporadic evidence of the archaic age, the presence of four artificial cave tombs (UT 3), excavated
in the organogenic limestone, it can lead to the hypothesis of the existence of a small rural settlement with a permanent character, coeval with the inhabited area documented in Monte Falcone and Monte Carrozza. "
