Via Vittorio Emanuele II n. 56 corner Via Monsignor Ventimiglia. Built in the eighteenth century. based on a project by Giovan Battista Vaccarini who availed himself of the help of Francesco Battaglia. The neoclassical façade on via Vittorio Emanuele is the work of Battaglia and continues on the side of via Monsignor Ventimiglia and on that of via Teatro Massimo. Vaccarini was responsible for the monumental courtyard visible from the entrance. Interesting is the marble staircase that leads to the upper floor where the Aula Magna opens where you can see the frescoes of famous Sicilian characters linked to the scientific and legal world (Caronda, Empedocle, Teocrito, Stesicoro, Recupero, Ingrassia, Gioieni)
