Ribaudo Kiosk at the Massimo Theater (Vicari Kiosk)
Description

Ribaudo kiosk at the Teatro Massimo

Designed as an element of street furniture by Ernesto Basile in 1896, the kiosk is in close spatial relationship with the antistate Teatro Massimo.

Intended for the resale of restaurant and tobacco products, it is inspired by an eclectic taste of neo-Moorish matrix.

A true tribute to Islamic-inspired art, it wisely combines elements drawn from local tradition with quotes from Victorian colonial architecture. (Text source: Municipality of Palermo)
