Church of Santa Ubaldesca (St. Ubaldesca Church), Paola

Photo: Wikipedia

The church, dedicated to Santa Ubaldesca Taccini, was built in 1630 and enlarged in 1901

The church ceased to be the parish church of Paola around 1928, when religious rites began to take place inside the church of Cristo Re, which had been specially built to provide for the growing population of the city. Between 2007 and 2008 the church underwent restoration work. Before the time, the facade had fallen into disrepair, with various structural damage to the roof.
