Church of Santa Lucia - Scicli

Church of Santa Lucia - Scicli

Founded in the seventeenth century at the ancient Porta dello Steri, which later took the name of Porta Santa Lucia, it was transferred, after some time, to another cave not far away, where it still is, as you can read from the plaque placed inside it. church. In the same year, in front of the cave, an artistic façade with a bell tower was erected, which were later restored several times.

The church houses a painting and a statue of the Syracusan Virgin Martyr, as is customary in all the ancient churches of Scicli.
