Church of S. Michele ai Minoriti
Via Etnea at the corner of Via Minoriti. The church and the adjoining convent were built in the second half of the 1750th century on a project by the architect Francesco Battaglia. The baroque facade of the church has two orders with columns. The façade of the former convent is the work of the early 1795th century architect Sebastiano Ittar. The Greek cross interior preserves a neo-Gothic organ and some works including: two altarpieces depicting the death of St. Joseph and the coronation of St. Agatha by the Marche painter Marcello Leopardi (c. XNUMX-XNUMX); a panel covered with embossed silver depicting the Archangel Michael of the sixteenth century; a marble crucifix by Agostino Penna and a painting depicting the Annunciation by Guglielmo Borremans.
