Church of S. Giovanni Battista - Vittoria
Located in the historic center of the city, in Piazza Ferdinando Ricca, it has three naves built between 1695 and 1706, after the destructive earthquake of 1693. Baroque in style, it has a simple facade and very rich interiors with decorations, stucco, marble and numerous canvases; it was consecrated in the following 1734. It contains a valuable wooden altar, presents paintings by Giuseppe Mazzone and other Sicilian authors. Also noteworthy is the Baptismal Font, surmounted by a painting, dating from around 1700 from the Caravaggesque school, which represents the baptism of Christ, and the tomb of Vittoria Colonna Henriquez
