Montevergini Church (dedicated to S. Girolamo)
The church closes Via Nicolaci scenographically. Built between 1695 and 1697 but open for worship only in 1762, it is attributed to Vincenzo Sinatra. The facade is concave with two bell towers. The interior has a single nave and surrounded by Corinthian columns. The Baroque testimony is given by the central altar, in polychrome marble and surmounted by an artistic temple ciborium, colonnade with canopy.
