Church of the SS Redentore
Via Dusmet. Built in the mid-nineteenth century in memory of an older one, also dedicated to the SS. Salvatore, located where the Circumetnea railway station today stands at the port, on a lava rock overlooking the sea, and built by the noblewoman Eleonora De Amico in 1535. Inside there is a wooden bust of the Redeemer, - sculpted, it seems , in 1536 - which was previously located in the ancient church overlooking the sea.
