Church of Carmine
The Church and the adjoining convent were built in the 1693th century and rebuilt after the earthquake of XNUMX. After the subversive laws, the Carmelite convent became the first barracks, later used as an elementary school.
The church pictures were painted by Pietro Paolo Vasta's son, Alessandro. This sanctuary houses the primitive statue of S.Venera, patron saint of the city, made in 1648 by Father Serafino di Aci, a religious of the same convent.
