Catacomb of Cisternazzi (Hypogeum B)
The burial chamber, with a roughly rectangular plan, is preceded by a vestibule in which two arcosoles bisomes and at least three tombs (tt. 16, 19 and 20) for children open; in the inner chamber the tombs are arranged in one or two rows along the walls, and, in the center, an isolated sarcophagus, which must have belonged to a distinct person within the reference community. The hypogeum reflects, albeit in a poorer way, the social organization that has already emerged with regard to the community to which the nearby Trabacche cave belonged.
