Gristia Castle

The ruins of the Gristia Castle are located a few kilometers north-east of the town on an isolated cliff of Monte Gristia which overlooks the valley of the Verdura river. In addition to the noteworthy masses of ruins, sections of the perimeter walls and remains of partially buried structures are still visible today. During the patrol of the area, although the luxuriant vegetation, the presence of ceramic fragments scattered on the ground (fragments of green glazed ceramic) is found as well as the remains of the wall structures belonging to the castle.
