Description

Prehistoric carriageways and prehistoric village road of Wardija Ta'San Gorg

Ancient carriageways and remains of a village road from the Bronze Age

Note the "Cart Ruts": they are parallel furrows carved into the rock with an average depth of about 60 cm and an average distance between them varying from just over a meter to almost one and a half meters. There is no certainty about the dating but they would go back to about 2 BC, following the arrival of populations from Sicily.
