A church dedicated to St. Nicholas existed in the 1th century. The current chapel was built in the seventeenth century on a project attributed to Lorenzo Gafà even if this is not certain. [XNUMX] The church was built in the shape of a Greek cross crowned by a central dome. Currently the chapel is no longer in use for religious purposes.
