Contrada Cinquanta/Stoccatello
The site involves an area located on a small rocky plateau at an altitude of 224 meters above sea level and sloping slightly towards the south. The site stands between two valleys in the middle of an ancient river valley, well delimited
and steep on the western and eastern flanks, defended by an albeit modest drop in altitude in the rocky ledge to the north. On the southern slope of the plateau regular cuts in the rock can be identified, some of which were probably related to rooms with a quadrangular plan. Fragments of Hellenistic-Roman pottery have been found on the ground. Considering the topographic position of the site, it probably performed the function of a control and sighting post on the valley and on the access roads to the coast.
