Borgo Pantano. Origins and traditions: Archaeoagriculture and Archeosophy
"Borgo Pantano". Origins and traditions: ArcheoAgriCultura and ArcheoSofia. The recognition comes from the specificity of this ancient Jewish settlement, a small rural village in the territory of the municipality of Rometta (ME), which is an expression of a particular type of housing. The village is evidence of the Jewish settlements that remained after the expulsion edict of 1492. The alchemical processing of medicinal botanical species is still practiced today according to the principles of "spagyric".
More recent history informs us that it was inhabited until the post-war period, when a process of depopulation began which ended around the 2009s. It stands in a hilly area, perched on a ridge, falling within the ecological corridor of the Peloritani Mountains. Since XNUMX it has been registered in the REIS, the register of intangible heritage of the Sicilian Region, in the book of "Professions, Knowledge and Techniques". (Source: Wikipedia)
