National Library of Malta (Bibljoteka Nazzjonali ta 'Malta) It was built by the Knights of Malta in 1776 and initially called "Bibliotheca Tanseana " in 1936 he assumed the title of  "Royal Malta Library".  It contains thousands of books and manuscripts also from the archives of the Order of the Knights. 

Note: The populating of the files of the Heritage database proceeds in incremental phases: cataloging, georeferencing, insertion of information and images. The cultural property in question has been cataloged, georeferenced and the first information entered.
