Lucchesiana Library - Agrigento
LOCATION: Via Duomo n. 94
DESCRIPTION Built in 1765, it is located next to the archbishop's palace and conserves more than 60.000 ancient volumes, sixteenth-century manuscripts and parchments. The books are arranged in eighteenth-century walnut wood shelves with a wrought iron balcony. Inside it is also possible to admire the statue of Bishop Lucchesi Palli, from whom the library takes its name, and donor of almost half of the book heritage.
