Abbey of S. Agata 

badia sant'agataVia Vittorio Emanuele II. Work of Giovanni Battista Vaccarini. The church is located in front of the north elevation of the cathedral, overlooking Via Vittorio Emanuele, and occupies an entire block together with the annexed former monastery (now owned by the municipality). The current structure was built in the 1693th century. on the same place previously occupied by the old church and convent dedicated to Sant'Agata, and collapsed in the earthquake of XNUMX.

  

The former convent annexed to the abbey is a listed property pursuant to Legislative Decree 42/2004 (DDS n. 6636 of 12.07.07)
