Art of the Sicilian cart
The request was made by the Regional Museum of Palazzo d'Aumale, which houses the most important public collection of Sicilian carts.
On 18/03/2021 it was also included in the Register of Intangible Heritage of Sicily (REIS). In this regard, see the following press release from the Region:

"Art of the Sicilian cart"
The art of building the Sicilian cart involves the intervention of many skills and crafts that represent the summa of Sicilian traditions, knowledge, crafts and popular art. The workers involved are the shipwright, the carver, the blacksmith, the 'usciularu, the decorator and the painter. In the construction and composition of the cart, the work of the aforementioned workers is carried out in collaboration and in compliance with cultural and artistic traditions.
