Area of Fragments of Cugno-C.da Cometi
Long, under a small nucleus of recent buildings, in a plot in which a vineyard has recently been planted. we find an area of fragments with medium density of concentration, clearly emerged following the planting of the vine. The area lies on the 500m level curve above the sea and is naturally delimited. The good visibility, given by the working of the land, highlights a fair amount of ceramic fragments whose study has allowed us to follow the succession of the phases of life of the site, which seem to be relatively continuous. Among the fragments of recent production, coming from the overlying house and the non-diagnostic ones, testimonies relating to the Greek age have been identified, for which we recall a black-figure cup friar, some black painted ceramic fragments, and fragments of roof tiles with a swollen strip, a material that we can date between the sixth and fifth centuries.
