Vallone Ferraro state-owned equipped area

Due to the receptive execution and its unfortunate location, the area in question will be suppressed as soon as possible, trying to direct the many users to the other equipped areas located a short distance from this and which are certainly more suitable for free use.
Allowing leisure in contact with nature and the imperative pursued by the Regional Forestry Administration.
How to reach the area:
This area is located very close to the Forestry Detachment, along the SS 113 montana. At present there are only very few wooden tables and benches, under a dense tree cover of Mediterranean pines and Eucalyptus. Located under the motorway, access is only possible on foot through a suggestive trazzera that starts at the junction leading to Dinnammare, a crossroads which is more simply called the Colle San Rizzo crossroads.

Note on Sources

The information on the equipped state-owned areas has as its main source the website of the Regional Forestry Department of Sicily (continuously updated) to which is added a very interesting brochure entitled "The State Equipped Areas in Sicily" of the same department published in 1999 with the Editorial Coordination of the 8th Group - Promotion, Development and Research, editors Agostino Gatto and Valeria Restuccia. Further information was obtained from direct access to the areas and from interviews with experts and operators in the sector.
