Ship State Equipped Area
From the Municipality of Randazzo, follow to C.da Santa Caterina, continue on the ESA road after about 2 km take a road on the left which first meets the forest gate "Trentasalme".
After 500 meters you will arrive at the “Nave” forest gate.
The entrance to the equipped area is only on foot and is located beyond the gate at about 100 meters. The Nave equipped area is located about 1000m away. above sea level, the vegetation is mainly made up of coppice of holm oak in conversion to a tall trunk, mixed with larch pine.
The area includes 8 tables complete with benches, fountains, barbecue, outdoor parking area, forest shelter. The area is the starting point for possible excursions also by mountain bike.

The information on the equipped state-owned areas has as its main source the Internet site of the Regional Forestry Department of Sicily (constantly updated) to which is added a very interesting brochure entitled "The State Equipped Areas in Sicily" of the same department published in 1999 with the Editorial Coordination of the 8th Group - Promotion, Development and Research, editors Agostino Gatto and Valeria Restuccia. Further information was obtained from direct access to the areas and from interviews with experts and operators in the sector.
