Equipped Area State Arcibessi Mangiameli
Wooden tables and benches, drinking fountains, toilets and a series of paths built with the typical Ragusan construction style, stone and dry walls, are the structures of this equipped area located relatively close to the town of Chiaramonte and a destination for many day-trippers or school groups.
Many warning signs suggest to the users of the area respect for the green and mainly to keep the equipped area clean.
To the delight of children and adults in the vicinity, a wildlife area has been created with fallow deer, various species of birds and Tibetan goats, a small lake has also allowed the breeding of geese and German ducks. The area is very popular all year round.
Following this artery that climbs into the mountain between trees on the right and left and with the road on the left bordered by a fence, at about 1.500 meters an appropriate signage announces the equipped area that is the destination of our journey. Then follow the asphalted road which after about 2 km gives way to the dirt road and soon we will arrive near a forest house near which the equipped area has been built.

The information on the equipped state-owned areas has as its main source the website of the Regional Forestry Department of Sicily (continuously updated) to which is added a very interesting brochure entitled "The State Equipped Areas in Sicily" of the same department published in 1999 with the Editorial Coordination of the 8th Group - Promotion, Development and Research, editors Agostino Gatto and Valeria Restuccia.
