Archaeological Area of Serra Mollarella-Monte Poliscia
At the western mouth of the Salso river, the beach of Mollarella occupies a wide and articulated bay which culminates in the promontory of Capo Serra Mollarella. Of the two minor inlets, the western one, at the foot of Monte Poliscia, is affected by the remains, now covered with sand, of a chthonic sanctuary from the archaic Greek period. On the promontory of Serra Mollarella there are small remains of a necropolis with rectangular pit tombs and wall remains of medieval coastal defense installations. On the western side of Monte Poliscia there is a prehistoric cave dwelling. To the south-east of the summit plateau of the hill, a pit was found lined with medium-sized pebbles, but rearranged with cement; to the south-east of the same plateau there are a few remains of a wall made of gypsum blocks about 3/4 meters long - Archaic Greek Age - VI BC
